We had finished a large renovation for this client the year prior. Now was the time to complete the exterior of the home and to provide an elegant place to entertain that matches the new interior entertainment space.

When the new addition was added, we designed the new roofline of the addition to incorporate a new covered deck. Large windows and a patio door were used to allow light into the home creating indoor/outdoor feel.

Motorized, retractable Phantom screens were added to allow any time of day use. The concealed heaters allow the space to be used well into the autumn and gets you outside earlier in the spring.

The modular laid out patio leads from the covered porch to an oversized wood beamed gazebo, and a cozy sitting area with a gorgeous masonry wood fireplace with matching double wood boxes. The stone on the fireplace creates consistency, matching the home’s exterior half wall.

The patio continues to an outdoors dining space and on to the garage back man door and over to the new wooden gate leading to the front of the home with a curbed paved driveway.

The stone retaining wall breaks up the backyard and the simple gardens add an elegance to the front and back yards. The intermittent lighting in the gardens allows the space to be well lit in the evenings.

The large stone boulders were found when excavating the property. They were once part of a large dam on the river not far away and the client wanted them used in his backyard oasis.

The client now has a lovely space to entertain both inside and out and in almost any kind of weather.
