This is the third contractor project that we have done for this homeowner. He wanted to expand his galley kitchen to create a more functional and open feeling, allowing natural light into the space.

The original galley kitchen had no window, other than the pass thru into the den, so it was very dark and cut off from the other areas of the home. Which made cooking while entertaining very difficult. There was a need for more counter space as well as more storage for small appliances and the cupboards were vintage and worn.

As you can see, we removed the wall and created a lovely open kitchen, which is flooded with light from the den windows and the exterior glass door. There is ample storage in the island that happens to be all cabinets with no seating. A built-in cabinet coffee maker that needed to be vented through the top of the cabinet was requested by the homeowner.

The natural color tones of the kitchen match the client’s style and the rest of the home.
