These past clients returned to us looking to refresh their kitchen and front foyer. The existing kitchen lacked storage, seating, and had poor lighting. The entry was outdated and uninviting.

We maintained the kitchen footprint with slight modifications to optimize function and storage.

This included relocating the microwave and upgrading the pantry and integrating storage solutions, this allowed for a larger fridge. Removing the existing bulkhead and relocating ductwork allowed for the cabinets to continue to the ceiling elongating the space. With the removal of the desk area, we were able to create a coffee station with custom floating shelves for decorative glassware to be displayed.

The dishwasher was shifted closer to the doorway and fitted with a paneled front to create visual continuity in the cabinetry. This allowed for a pull-out garbage/recycle cabinet to be added. For a bright clean look, simple subway tiles were installed to the backsplash.

Adding seating to the island and continuing the flooring into the adjacent living area creates a more inviting space to enjoy and host guests. The flooring is a vinyl tile to address the clients’ request for warmth and comfort.

The front foyer was transformed with new tile and custom trim to accentuate the new entry door. The wood-like finish of the door in cherry tone and traditional profile, adds warmth and character to the space.

The neutral colour palette of the kitchen and foyer was the perfect setting for the clients to display their art and décor, bringing colour and life into the space.
