TRANQUILITY ON THE RIVER
Pre-renovation, the home lacked natural light, did not take advantage of river views, had awkward living spaces with an outdated non-functional kitchen, and had outdated bathrooms plus a shower in the walk-in closet. The owners were frustrated that they could not entertain due to awkward spaces and being isolated in the kitchen.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Removing the interior kitchen wall opened up this entire living space. A rear wall of glass optimizes river views and introduces an abundance of natural light. The kitchen, with an adjacent homework area, provides a usable space for the entire family and solves the problem of being isolated when entertaining. An added bonus is now having the laundry on the main level.
The contemporary kitchen features cherry and high gloss white cabinets. The cherry was used for cohesiveness by tying in the existing wood ceiling. Quartz counters and quartz backsplash reflect the natural light.
The sunken living room has cherry flooring, tying in the kitchen and existing wood features. Contemporary furniture, funky ceiling fans and light fixtures complete the space.
The bathrooms have floating vanities and walk-in showers with 24” x 48” tiger stripe tiled walls. The ensuite features a standalone soaker tub – perfect for a spa retreat!
Imagine walking into this home, greeted with the sensation of peace and tranquility – an abundance of natural light, soothing colours, and amazing river views. Priceless!
