We removed a powder room at the back of the house to make way for a flex room addition with a three-piece bathroom. It is currently used as a den with the possibility of being walled off in the future and turned into a bedroom if main floor living becomes a necessity or to welcome an aging parent. The addition also has a closet and a pantry for overflow from the kitchen.

We kept the colour décor in the home monochromatic to help show off the homeowner’s beautiful artwork and colourful oriental accent rugs. Her eye for interior design shines through in her choice of the unique light fixtures throughout.

We reconfigured the second floor, removing a bedroom to turn it into a master bedroom and a large ensuite with double vanity, angled freestanding tub and large doorless shower with a seat. Custom cubby storage/display and recessed soap niches provide storage, and a half wall next to the toilet adds privacy. The remainder of the second floor holds a guest bedroom, bathroom and office.

New black-framed windows throughout, a large patio door to the new back deck, new white oak hardwood and tile flooring throughout complete this renovation.
