War Home Bungalow Addition

A war home is a bungalow was commonly built in the late 1940’s and in the 1950’s after WWII. They averaged about 750 sq. ft. of living area. That’s really small by today’s standards and many owners of war home bungalows are adding additional living space. Due to lot size, a 2nd storey addition is often the best way to accomplish more space for today’s family.

In the spring of 2017, Lagois Design Build Renovate started construction to add a 2nd storey addition to the existing war home bungalow that you see in the before picture. It will double the living space and also add a rear deck. You may see our sign if your in the Old Ottawa South neighbourhood. As construction progresses, more pictures and information will be posted.
